Indications
OzempicĀ® is prescribed to:
- Improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes
- Used alone or in combination with other antidiabetic medications
- Often recommended when diet and exercise are not enough
Dosage & Administration
- Standard dose: 1 mg once per week
- Administered subcutaneously (under the skin) in the thigh, abdomen, or upper arm
- Injection day can be changed as long as thereās at least 3 days (72 hours) between doses
Warnings
- Not suitable for type 1 diabetes
- Not recommended for use in children
- Store refrigerated (2ā8Ā°C / 36ā46Ā°F); can be kept at room temperature for up to 6 weeks after opening
